About the people we want to hire

Due to rapidly increasing demand for our services to at-risk youth in the schools and community, CARE is expanding and requires more youth workers and counsellors.

CARE takes a highly preventive approach to helping at-risk youths in schools. The youth workers and counsellors constitute CARE’s direct service teams that deliver CARE’s programs, services and workshops to school students and teachers.

What we seek are individuals — the “CARE X-men” (see below) who will wholeheartedly engage themselves to work, learn and grow with us. The aim is that each person is moulded to become the professional CARE staff who provides and upkeeps the quality service that people associate with and expect from CARE.

That’s why you may find this online application process unusually long and the selection process so rigorous. As this job demands so much from you, we think it’s only fair that you are provided sufficient information to consider if this is where you wish to build your career.

Take the online application as your self interview. At any point through the process, you can opt out and find some other job. But if you complete the entire process and you are still excited about this job, please submit your application.

Each applicant is considered and evaluated on individual merit and quality. We’ll look at who you are and how you can fit in the work. When you are in a job that matches your heart and passion, we believe you will do well. Even if you have not yet acquired the required skills or competency, if we find you suitable, you can begin at the bottom and start learning.
